Mumbai The tension in Maharashtra’s Mahavikas Aghadi seems to be increasing. First, Sanjay Raut announced that Uddhav Thackeray’s party Shiv Sena-UBT will single-handedly contest the elections of all the municipal bodies of Maharashtra including BMC. Now, in the editorial of Uddhav Thackeray’s party’s mouthpiece Saamana, the future of the Indi alliance has been questioned while targeting the Congress. It has been written in the editorial of Saamana that the public feels that the Indi alliance in the country and the Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra is a big mess. Uddhav’s party mouthpiece Saamna has written that every regional party should save its role, workers and existence and Congress is not ready to understand this.
It is written in Saamna that Congress cannot even fight on its own in many states. It does not have the strength to fight, but regional parties should come together and fight the elections in unity. In fact, the way the opposition was swept in the Haryana and then Maharashtra elections, questions are being raised on the Congress in the Indi alliance and the Mahavikas Aghadi. In Maharashtra, Congress, which is part of Mahavikas Aghadi, won 16 assembly seats. At the same time, its ally Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT got only 20 seats and Sharad Pawar’s NCP got only 10 seats. After the pathetic performance of Congress, questions are being raised continuously from the Indi alliance. Omar Abdullah of National Conference has already raised questions on the existence of this alliance.
At the same time, Mamata Banerjee had earlier said that she is ready to take charge of the alliance. Leaders like Sharad Pawar, Lalu Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray, Arvind Kejriwal and Akhilesh Yadav also supported Mamata Banerjee. The condition of Indi alliance is that its leaders have not met for a long time. At the same time, the condition of Mahavikas Aghadi parties in Maharashtra is also the same. The special thing is that recently Sharad Pawar also praised RSS. In such a situation, the way Congress has been targeted in Saamna, it is clear that the unity of the opposition in Maharashtra has reached a shaky state.
