Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy has accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of destroying evidence and making systematic efforts to hide the Muda scam. He insisted that the Muda Commissioner, who withdrew the plot from the CM’s wife, should be arrested immediately for violating the court orders.
Talking to the media before attending the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at the JDS party office, he alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Urban Development Minister Birathi Suresh, Lokayukta officer and MUDA officers are conspiring to hide the MUDA scam.
Expressing doubts over the return of 14 plots by the wife of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, he said that this action was a clear violation of court orders and an insult to the judiciary. He emphasized that the Muda Commissioner should be arrested.
He alleged, “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trying to destroy the evidence by returning the plot, misusing his position as Chief Minister to manipulate the documents and mislead the authorities.”
“After the ED investigation started in the Muda scam and the FIR was registered, important events took place. On Tuesday, Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati expressed her intention to return the plot to Muda. After her announcement, all the plots have returned under the control of the Muda, and the Muda Commissioner has confirmed that the sales of the fourteen plots have been canceled,” HD Kumaraswamy has been rated. The events were suspicious.
Kumaraswamy accused the Chief Minister of misusing the Lokayukta officials and said that Siddaramaiah’s intervention in the investigation is clear. He questioned the validity of the assets involved, claiming that fake documents were made to mislead people, saying that the court had described the properties as their own property. He said that the price of these plots is Rs 62 crore. He questioned how and when the MUDA commissioner accepted the request to return the plots, he said that the CM has misused his power.
After the ED filed a case of funds against the Chief Minister of Karnataka in a case related to the alleged Muda land allocation scam, his wife wrote a letter to the Muda Commissioner offering a letter to the Authority to return the 14 plots allotted to them by the authority.
The Mysore Lokayukta has officially started investigating the case following a court order to register an FIR. The Lokayukta was directed by Muda to investigate allegations of illegality in the allocation of 14 sites worth Rs 56 crore to Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati. It is accused that Muda illegally allotted 14 plots to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife at the main place of Mysore city.
