Lucknow. There may be a salary crisis for 39000 government employees of UP. According to the information, these 39000 government employees of UP did not declare their assets till the due date of 30 September 2024. For this, earlier the date of 31 August 2024 was fixed. Later, on the request of the employees, the last date for asset declaration was extended to September 30. According to the information, 60,000 employees had to give information about their assets to the UP government by September 30, but only 21,000 employees submitted the details. Whereas, UP CM Yogi Adityanath had given strict instructions that every government employee will have to give information about his property online by the due date.

To prevent corruption, employees of the Central and all state governments have to give details of all movable and immovable assets of themselves and their families to the government every year. The government checks whether the concerned employee or his family members have assets disproportionate to their income. In case of disproportionate assets, strict action is taken against the concerned employee. UP government has created Manav Sampada Portal for employees. Through this, employees have to give information about every movable and immovable property of themselves and their family members to the UP government. Earlier this year, the number of UP government employees who did not give property information till August 31 was 2.44 lakh.

There are 846640 employees appointed under UP government. Till August 31, only 602075 of them had given information about their assets to the government. Later, after the date was changed to September 30, UP government employees were continuously giving details of their assets to the government. Yet till now 39000 government employees have not done so. It is believed that the salaries of all these people can be stopped. Under the rules, the government also has the right to take disciplinary action against a government employee for not giving details of assets.
