Lucknow. The Yogi Adityanath government of UP is soon to implement new rules for the recognition of madrasas of the state. Along with this, the course will also be changed to improve the level of education in the madrasas of UP. News channel Aaj Tak has given this news. According to the channel, the Yogi Adityanath government of UP has decided to change the course from 9th to 12th in madrasas. On the implementation of the new course, students in the madrasas of UP will also be required to teach Hindi, English, Mathematics and Science in the madrasas of UP. Till now it is not necessary to teach these subjects in madrasas.
There are about 16000 madrasas in UP. There are 13.57 lakh students in these madrasas. The government gives grants to 560 in the total madrasas of UP. These subsidized madrasas have 9500 teachers. The UP government conducted a survey of all the madrasas of the state in the year 2024. It was found in this survey that 8449 madrasas in UP are running without government recognition. Apart from this, the number of madrasas with recognized was 16513. The Yogi government took a tough stance and closed all the madrasas without recognition. Now in the rest of the madrasas, a decision is also being taken to make children aware of modern education.
For example, graduation and post graduation are taught after primary, high school and intermediate in schools and universities. In the same way, in addition to Kania, Faukania and Alia levels in madrasas, Munshi, Maulvi, Alims Kamil and Fazil level are taught. Underania is the smallest class and the largest degree of fazil madrasas. In UP, all madrasas are required to get recognition from the madrasa board. In madrasas, along with the education of Quran, Hadith Vagaira, Arabic language is also taught to speak and read. Because Muslim scriptures are in Arabic language only.
