New Delhi. The Election Commission has extended the date of by-elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Kerala. Voting in these three states was earlier to be held on 13th November but now voting will be held on 20th November. Although the voting results will be declared on November 23, no changes have been made in it. In fact, BJP, Congress and other political parties had recommended the Election Commission to postpone the voting date citing festivals. Political parties say that there may be a decline in voting percentage due to the festival. Accepting this demand of political parties, the Election Commission has now postponed the voting date.
