Asiya alleged that the harassment continued despite several attempts to resolve the case. He said that fed up with this, Sania returned to her maternal home in Gorakhpur on 26 April, but the in -laws were harassing her by calling her continuously.

Asiya alleged that he had filed an application at the Chauri Chaura police station alleging dowry harassment, but Daroga Jayaprakash Singh refused to register him.

Asiya said that on Monday evening, Salauddin had called Sania and gave three divorces, which enraged and hanged the same night.

Police sources said that Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover ordered a departmental inquiry. Investigations under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police (Northern) Jitendra Kumar Srivastava confirmed that Sania had gone to the police station, but no case was registered.

Sources said that after this, the Senior Superintendent of Police suspended Daroga Jayaprakash Singh on Wednesday evening.

He said that a case was filed against eight people, including Salauddin, mother -in -law Saira, Nandas and Dewar, a resident of Rasayani area in Raigad, Maharashtra, in this case. The case is being investigated in detail.
