New Delhi. On the last day of the budget session today, the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) report on the amendment of Waqf was presented in both houses of Parliament. Leaders of the opposition including Congress in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha created a lot of uproar over the JPC report. Opposition MPs alleged that their disagreement notes have not been included from the JPC report. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge called this JPC report fake. Kharge raised the demand for re -presenting the revised report by sending the report to JPC again. At the same time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, if the objections of the opposition are to be included in the report, then there is no objection to the BJP in this.

In the Lok Sabha, Amit Shah stopped speaking to the opposition, saying that some members of the opposition have objected that his objections have not been fully included in the Waqf JPC report. I want to say on behalf of my party that my party has no objection to the opposition’s objections to add to the parliamentary functioning. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh said on the report, “I was a member of JPC and it is very regrettable that the opposition that the leaders of the opposition filed their protest were also not included in the report.”
On the other hand, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board objected to the JPC report on the amendment on Waqf. Board Chairman Khalid Saifullah Rahmani said that the rights of Hindus and Sikhs on their property in India are as much as Muslims. In the constitution of our country, we have the right to run religious matters in our own way and the Common Civil Code is attacking it.
