There was a huge uproar in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, when Union Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju raised the issue of statement given by Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar on Muslim reservation. Rijiju said that DK Shivkumar has talked about a change in the Constitution, which is against the constitutional provisions. There was a huge uproar in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha over Muslim reservation, after which the proceedings of both the houses were postponed till 2:00 pm.
Reservation cannot be given on the basis of religion: Nadda
Leader of the House JP Nadda in the Rajya Sabha said that the Congress party which becomes the protector of the Constitution. Baba Saheb has clearly stated that reservation cannot be given on the basis of religion, but the Congress government has made four percent reservation in contract for Muslim religion in South.
JP Nadda authenticated it and said that the Deputy CM of Karnataka has said in the House that if needed, we will change the constitution and these people become a great protector of the Constitution. There the work has been done to fly the constitution. The Leader of the Opposition should answer this.
Who said that the constitution is going to change: Kharge
On this, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge replied that Baba Saheb made the constitution of the country. No one can change it. To protect this, we have taken out India Jigo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Who said that we are going to change the constitution.
Rijiju also narrated the statement of DK Shivkumar
On this, Kiran Rijiju said that by implementing the policy of the Muslim League, which Baba Saheb had rejected, the Congress party has done the work of mixing Baba Saheb’s honor in the soil. Kiran Rijiju also narrated the statement of the deputy CM of Karnataka in the House and challenged the Congress President to take action.
