PM Modi and JD Vance
New Delhi: US Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance are coming on a four -day visit to India on Monday (April 21). JD Vance will meet PM Modi on this tour. Vance’s visit to India is taking place at a time when US President Donald Trump has started a tariff war.
Palam will reach Air Force Station at 10 am
The Ministry of External Affairs said that he will be welcomed at the Air Force Station at Palam at 10:00 am. A few hours after reaching Delhi, Vance and his family will go to Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple and they can also visit a ‘shopping complex’ selling traditional Indian handmade goods. On the arrival of Vance to India, a senior cabinet minister of the Center will welcome him on the airbase. Apart from Delhi, Vance will also travel to Jaipur and Agra along with his family. Officials who are aware of the matter said that at least five senior officials, including officials of the US Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of External Affairs, are expected to come to India with Vance.
Vance will arrive with his family at PM residence on Monday evening
Prime Minister Modi will welcome Vance and his family at his 7 Lok Kalyan Marg Niwas at 6.30 pm on Monday, after which there will be an official talks. Officials said that the proposed bilateral trade treaty in the meeting as well as the way of promoting relations between the two countries is likely to be discussed. He said that External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and India’s Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Quatra will probably be part of the Indian party led by Prime Minister Modi. Modi will host a dinner for Vance and American officials with him after the talks.
Vice President Vance will stay at ITC Maurya Sheraton Hotel
The US Vice President and his family will stop at ITC Maurya Sheraton Hotel in Delhi. Officials said Vance and his family would leave for Jaipur on Monday night. Vance will visit several historical sites including Amer Fort on 22 April. The fort is UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Site. Vance will address a gathering at the Rajasthan International Center in Jaipur in the afternoon. In his speech, Vance can talk on the broad aspects of Indo-US relations during the Trump administration’s reign in the US. Diplomats, foreign policy experts, officials of the Government of India and academics are expected to participate in the event.
Visits Agra on 23 April
Officials said the US Vice President and his family probably go to Agra on the morning of 23 April. They will visit the Taj Mahal and Shilpagram there. Shilpagram is an open emporium depicting various Indian artifacts. After a visit to Agra, Vance will return to Jaipur on 23 April. Officials said that the US Vice President and his family will leave for the US from Jaipur on 24 April. In Jaipur, Vance will stay at the grand Rambagh Palace, which is a luxurious hotel and once used to be a guest house of royal people. Vance will come to Delhi after finishing his journey to Italy.
