In Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, police killed a prize crook of one lakh rupees in an encounter. There were 53 cases of murder, robbery, robbery etc. against the slain crook.
Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal said that the police of Umri Begumganj police station were reported to be present in the area of Sonu Pasi alias Bhure, a wanted criminal of Rs 1 lakh on Monday night. On this, the Special Operation Group (SOG) and Khodare police station were coordinated with the police and laid siege.
According to the SP, Sonu Pasi, who was going by motorcycle near Sonauli Mohammadpur Bandha in the police station area, was surrounded by the police after which he started firing on the police. A bullet fired by Pasi hit the police station’s bullet proof jacket and he narrowly survived.
Pasi was injured in police retaliation. He was immediately rushed to the local medical college, where doctors declared him dead. A number plate motorcycle, a pistol of .32 bore, a 315 bore pistol and cartridges have been recovered from Pasi.
The SP said that the miscreants shot a villager after protesting during an incident of theft in Umri Begumganj police station area last month. Sonu Pasi was the main accused in this case and the police was searching for him.
Police have arrested three accused in the case, Brijesh alias Chhotu Pasi, Pallu Pasi and Nanmunna Lodh after the encounter.
According to the Superintendent of Police, Sonu Pasi has a total of 53 cases registered under Gonda, Basti and other nearby districts under murder, robbery, robbery, theft, arms act, self -effective drugs and a total of 53 cases. A reward of one lakh rupees was declared by ADG Gorakhpur Zone on Sonu’s arrest.
