Uttarakhand CM Dhami informed Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the situation of heavy rains in the state

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday interacted with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed heavy rains in the state’s disaster -hit areas.

Dhami said that in view of the seriousness of the case, Shah has assured that the emergency relief agencies, NDRF and ITBP of the Center are being deployed immediately to ensure that the Char Dham Yatra is not interrupted and the devotees do not have any inconvenience in the journey.

Pushkar Dhami said in his ‘X’ post, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah got detailed information about heavy rainfall in various disaster potential areas of the state by talking on telephone. Given the seriousness of the situation, he assured that the emergency relief agencies of the central government NDRF/ITBP are being deployed promptly, so that the four Dham Yatra is not being deployed and ensured that the four Dham Yatra can be traveled to the journey. There should be no inconvenience. He assured to provide continuous monitoring and all possible help in other sensitive districts of the state. “

Meanwhile, Union Minister Shah informed about his conversation on the issue of heavy rains with Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh on social media platforms.

“In view of heavy rains in various parts of the country, he spoke to the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh. Shah wrote in his ‘X’ post,” Adequate number of NDRF teams have been deployed in the states to help the needy people and more additional forces can be sent if needed. He has been assured of all possible help from the central government. “

Meanwhile, according to data till July 2, at least 51 people have lost their lives in Himachal Pradesh and 22 others are missing as torrential rains, floods and landslides continue to wreak havoc across the state during the current monsoon season.

The State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) released a cumulative damage assessment report under the Revenue Department of the Government of Himachal Pradesh (SEOC) on July 2 from 20 June to 1 July. The report revealed significant damage to human life, personal property, livestock and public infrastructure in 12 districts of the state.
