It is getting information that many people are still missing. People are wandering in search of their loved ones, while the army and NDRF personnel are busy in relief work on war footing. The journey is still stopping. On the other hand, a warning of landslide has been issued by the Meteorological Department in some areas of Jammu division. The administration has appealed to the people to stay away from river, drains etc. Floods are also being expressed in the plains of Jammu and Kashmir and the low -lying areas of South Kashmir. Let us tell you that for a few days, there has been rain and torrential rains in Jammu and Kashmir, due to which there have been incidents of rock fall, landslide and cloudburst.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the phone and inquired about the situation from him. CM said that where heavy and continuous rains have caused a lot of damage and normal life has been disturbed. Efforts are being made to restore phone/data connectivity as soon as possible. I am keeping a close watch on the situation and in touch with teams posted at the ground level.
