Vande Bharat Express prepared for the mountains
Vande Bharat Express is becoming one of the favorite luxury trains of the country. This train is now gaining speed in many parts of the country, but was untouched by the mountains till now. Keeping this in view, now Railways has taken a special decision, due to which Vande Bharat train will soon be seen speeding in the mountains for the first time. Let us tell you that due to snowfall in the mountains, train facilities are very less available, but Railways is now preparing to run Vande Bharat Express on the mountains.
There will be no problem in -10 degree Celsius
According to the information received from the Railways, the special Vande Bharat has been prepared on the lines of PM Modi’s vision of Make in India. It has been prepared in such a way that there will be no problem in operation even in snowfall and minus 10 degrees Celsius. After a long wait of years, the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project is going to start soon. With the start of this project, comfortable railway facilities can be provided to various areas of Kashmir Valley.
According to the railway official, the Udhampur-Baramulla project was to be started for the first time in the year 1898 but considering the circumstances of that time, difficulties were faced in laying the track on the hilly area and it was not possible.
What is special different in this train?
Amrendra Kumar Chandra, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer of Northern Railway, told about this special feature train of Vande Bharat that arrangements have been made here to ensure that snow does not accumulate on the windshield during the operation of the train.
He further said that the windshield of the train is automatically heated, hence ice will not accumulate on it. Micro elements are glued here which will always keep the windshield warm. Hot water will also come from the wipers so that the frozen snow can be cleaned properly. In addition, ice cutters are used to clear the track, which is used in advance. Trains do not have the feature of removing snow from the track. At the same time, the washroom also has the facility to control the temperature so that a fixed temperature is maintained, due to which there is neither too much heat nor coldness. Air dryer brakes have also been installed in this train so that there will be no moisture in the brakes in low temperatures and snow. The washroom has been prepared with induction for hot water. Special filaments have been installed so that the water remains hot. A 10 liter tank is installed. The water can remain hot for three hours even without electricity.
Jammu to Srinagar in 4-5 hours
Regarding the operation of the train, CPRO Himanshu Shekhar said that it will start soon. The train is ready, just waiting for the permission, the operation of the train will start as soon as the permission is granted. He further said that as soon as the train starts, it would not be wrong to say that Kashmir is not far from Kanyakumari because one can reach Srinagar from Jammu in 4-5 hours, whereas it takes 8-9 hours by road.
