The first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train set with sixteen coaches is now required for the certification of ‘Research Designs and Standard Organization’ (RDSO) for commercial operations and commissioner, railway safety approval for commercial operations. The board said in a statement, “India’s first Vande Bharat will issue a final certificate after analysis of RDSO test before the Sleeper train operating.” It said, “Railway Safety Commissioner will evaluate the train at its maximum speed.
According to the board, the dream of world-class, high-speed sleeper train has now become a reality, because the 16-Dibe’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Set has successfully completed the test by RDSO for a distance of 540 km in Mumbai-Ahmedabad section on 15 January Have done. The statement said, “The Integrated Coach Factory (Chennai) completed the construction of the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train set of India on 17 December 2024.”
