Vande Bharat Express
New Delhi: Work is going on rapidly to provide connectivity to Kashmir Valley with other parts of the country. Under this scheme, the first Vande Bharat Express between Srinagar to Delhi is going to be operational from April 19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will see this train on this train. This train will run between Katra to Srinagar. In the second phase, this train will run between New Delhi to Srinagar. The railway is engaged in preparation for the second phase since August or September.
However, in the second phase, when the service between Delhi and Srinagar starts, the passengers will have to change the train for Srinagar after reaching Katra in terms of security. Only after about two hours of halt in Katra, passengers will be placed in another train for Srinagar which will go from Katra to Srinagar. But for this, passengers do not need to take separate tickets. Only one ticket for passengers will be made between Delhi to Srinagar or Srinagar to Delhi.
During the halt in Katra, there will be a checking of passengers’ goods. According to Northern Railway, this decision has been taken keeping in mind security and weather. Since this route is quite sensitive, when passengers change their train in Katra, their goods will be re -examined.
Officials say that reaching the mountain directly from the ground can affect the health of the passengers, so the passengers will be given some time to be favorable and then will be dispatched in the train of Srinagar. Railways are also making separate arrangements for this entire process. Waiting areas are being created for passengers.
