New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of his parliamentary constituency Varanasi today. Modi is inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of several development projects there. As soon as Modi came out of his airplane at the airport, he took information about the gang rape in the city recently from Varanasi Police Commissioner, Commissioner and DM. The Prime Minister directed the officials to take the strict action against the culprits. Also, in future, an action plan was prepared to curb such heinous crimes and work accordingly.
Please tell that in Varanasi, 23 accused along with a 19 -year -old woman carried out the rape incident for 6 days. In these 6 days, the accused kept the girl at different places and raped her continuously by giving her intoxicating injections. The woman went missing on 29 March and was found in an unconscious condition on 4 April. When the woman reached her home, she informed the family about the incident that happened to her. After this, the girl’s family reached Pandeypur police station and filed a case against 12 nominated and 11 unidentified. It is discussed everywhere since the incident came to light and the voice of getting justice to the victim is being raised.
On the other hand, Varanasi police have arrested 10 accused in this case. The court has sent these accused to jail for 14 days judicial custody. At the same time, police are conducting raids in search of 13 other accused. Information about the accused is being collected from the stated places of the victim girl and the help of CCTV cameras is also being taken. Police say that soon all the accused will be arrested.
