Young man demanding extortion from Salman Khan arrested

Mumbai Police, which is investigating the case of sending threatening messages to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, has arrested a person from Jamshedpur. The accused has been identified as Sheikh Hussain Sheikh Mousin (24), a vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur. Last week, a threatening message was received from the actor on the WhatsApp helpline of Mumbai Traffic Police demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore, after which the police registered a case and started investigation. After the arrest of the accused, now Worli police will present him in a court in Jharkhand for transit remand. After getting remand, he will be brought to Mumbai.

‘Apology’ message sent after threat

A police officer said that the police traced the number to Jharkhand and teams were sent to nab the accused. He told that another team was also sent to Guwahati. Police launched their investigation to trace the sender of the message, but Mumbai Traffic Police found an “apology” message from the same mobile phone number saying it was done by mistake, officials said on Tuesday.

Mumbai Police said, “Investigation was conducted with the help of local police in Jamshedpur and the person who sent the threatening message was arrested. Now he will be brought to Mumbai.”

Salman is receiving continuous threats

It is noteworthy that actor Salman Khan had earlier received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Suspected gang members had opened fire outside Salman Khan’s Bandra house in April this year. A few months ago, Navi Mumbai Police had exposed a conspiracy by Bishnoi gang to kill Khan, after which the actor’s security was increased.
