It is alleged that former MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion along with his supporters reached the office of Khanpur MLA and fired several rounds. It is being said that there was a war of words going on on social media between current MLA Umesh Sharma and former MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion.
Dehradun Police has detained former MLA Kunwar Champion, who opened fire at the house of MLA Umesh Kumar in Khanpur. After being taken into custody, he was brought to Nehru Colony police station.

The video of this firing is also going viral in which it can be seen that the attackers in three vehicles opened indiscriminate fire at the office of Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar. The entire area echoed with this rapid firing in broad daylight. Police teams are present in the entire area.
