Masked robbers robbed the house
A dreadful incident has come to light from Soro area of Balasore district of Odisha. Last night, robbers in Dayanidhipur village under Tantai Panchayat of Soro police station area openly looted a family hostage on the strength of a weapon. During this time there was also an incident of firing on neighbors, causing panic in the entire area. The robbers have carried out a robbery of Rs 10 lakh.
7 miscreants carried out loot
According to the information, about 7 masked crooks forcibly entered the house of Ravindra Nayak late at night. Before entering the house, the mother of the miscreants was found to Ravindra’s mother, who called her son and gave information. Ravindra’s son Malay Raut called the neighbors, but before that, the robbers broke into the door of the house and took all the 5 members of the house hostage and then the robbers escaped from the house and looted about Rs 10 lakh jewelry and Rs 50,000 in cash.
Firing on the person who came to save
During this time, when neighbor Balaram Raut and Prashant Raut came for help, the robbers opened fire on the roof of the house. The bullet hit Balaram Raut’s chest, causing them seriously injured. After hearing the sound of firing, other neighbors did not come out due to fear, taking advantage of which the robbers escaped comfortably. Local people admitted all the injured to Soro Hospital, from where 2 people were referred to Baleshwar District Hospital due to critical condition. At present, after receiving information about the incident, the Soro police has reached the spot and the investigation of the case has been started.

Regarding the case, Balasore SP Raj Prasad said, “A few days ago, there was a similar incident of robbery, which we arrested some accused. In view of this case, it is known in the preliminary investigation that some gang members involved in the previous incident may also be involved in the case. 2 people were injured in this robbery incident. The victims had informed the neighbors and informed them about the incident.

Further, he said that as soon as the information of the incident was received, people nearby came to protect the victims, but the robbers attacked them and injured them. One of the 2 injured has been referred to SCB Hospital in Cuttack and 1 is being treated at Hospital in Balasore. We have found important clues in this matter which can prove to be very helpful. We assure all of us that the accused in the case will soon be arrested. “
