Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has examined the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) offices and Driving Test Center. On Monday, it has been told by the officials that about 24 people have been arrested on charges of fraud during this investigation campaign.
Arrested for bribery charges
Investigating officials have said that 24 accused have been arrested on charges of bribery during this investigation operation. 16 FIRS have been recorded. Citizens were being collected by the accused for driving license, driving tests and other services.
Sudden raids conducted in many places
It has been said that a sudden raid was conducted in many places to investigate whether the work is being done properly or not. A large number of Complains were being received by the Chief Minister’s Anti-Corruption Action Line, after which the investigation was started. This raid has been conducted to remove corruption from the public office.
