New Delhi. The voting process of Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 ended today. Voting was held in two phases for 81 assembly seats in the state. The first phase of voting took place on 13 November and the second phase on 20 November. Exit poll projections will be released some time from now, which will reveal whether the India alliance will return to power or the NDA will get the mandate.

Second phase voting ends

In the second phase, voting was held on 38 assembly seats of Jharkhand. A total of 528 candidates were in the electoral fray in this phase. 1 crore 23 lakh 58 thousand 195 voters were eligible to exercise their right.

67.59% voting was recorded till 5 pm. 239 polling stations were operated by women. Youth took the responsibility of 26 booths for disabled people at 22 centres. Special arrangements were made at all polling stations for security.

The election results will be declared on November 23, but exit polls will be released today itself. This will be a forecast, which will show the trend of public opinion before the counting of votes. In the first phase, voting was held on 43 seats on November 13. In the second phase, voting took place on 38 seats on November 20.

The current tenure of Jharkhand Assembly ends on 5 January 2025. In such a situation, the process of formation of the new government will start immediately after the results.
