Waqf Act in Supreme Court: Hearing in Supreme Court on Waqf Amendment Act from today, 73 petitions filed in protest, BJP ruled in support of Act 7 states, Supreme Court to Hear Petition on Waqf Act today 73 Against 7 BJP States Support Law

New Delhi. The Supreme Court is going to start hearing of petitions filed on the Waqf Amendment Act at 2 pm today. The bench of Supreme Court Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice KV Vishwanathan will hear the petitions filed in opposition to the Waqf Amendment Act and the petitions filed in favor. Muslim organizations and leaders have filed 73 petitions against the Waqf Amendment Act. At the same time, 7 BJP -ruled states have petitioned the Supreme Court in favor of the Waqf Amendment Act. The Central Government has filed a cavity in the Supreme Court on the issue of Waqf Amendment Act. That is, the Supreme Court cannot give any decision without listening to the central government.

It is being told that out of the total petitions filed on the Waqf Amendment Act, the Supreme Court will hear only 10. During this hearing, the Supreme Court can also decide that all the petitions be added and further hearing the matter. Apart from this, since the Waqf Amendment Act is related to the Constitution, the Supreme Court can send this issue to the Constitution Bench again. Overall, it is certain that the legal battle on the Waqf Amendment Act will run long. BJP governments from the Center and 7 states have not considered the earlier Waqf law unilateral and benefiting the entire Muslim community. Especially under Section 40, the declaration of any land as Waqf has been declared against the Constitution. It is also said that not all sections of society were represented in the old Waqf law.

At the same time, the Pass Waqf Amendment Act from Parliament is being opposed at two main points. Those who oppose the Waqf Amendment Act say why arrangements have been made to keep non -Muslim in Waqf boards and Waqf Council. Also, the removal of Waqf by user is also being opposed. Under the Waqf Bai user, any person could tell the Waqf Board that the work related to the Waqf is being done on the respective land. So take it in your realm. Now the sight of the Supreme Court is whether he gives opinion in favor of the Center on the Waqf Amendment Act or gives a verdict in favor of those opposing it.
