All India Muslim Women Personal Law Board President Shaista Ambar described it as good. Also said that misunderstandings on the Waqf Amendment Act can be overcome by dialogue.
Shaista Ambar, Chairman of All India Muslim Women’s Personal Law Board, had earlier given a similar opinion about the Waqf Amendment Act. Then he had raised the question on non -BJP political parties as to why he did not take steps about this despite being in power for years? Shaista Ambar had said that the initiative taken by the Modi government under the Waqf Amendment Act should be seen on the ground. All India Muslim Personal Law Board i.e. AIMPLB, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, including the Waqf Amendment Bill, are many Muslim organizations and Muslim religious leaders and leaders. They all have two main complaints. The first is that the Modi government wants to capture the land through the Waqf Amendment Act. At the same time, the second complaint is why non -Muslim members are being kept in Waqf Board and Waqf Council?
At the same time, the Modi government says that poor, Pasmanda Muslims and women and children will benefit from the Waqf Amendment Bill. Also, the government has removed Section 40 through amendment in the law. Through this section, the Waqf Board used to claim anyone’s land. Also, there will be an audit of Waqf boards. The Waqf Amendment Act has been implemented by the Modi government from 8 April. Earlier on 2 and 3 April, Parliament flagged off the Waqf Amendment Bill and the President approved it on 5 April.
