Waqf Amendment Bill: Waqf modification bill can be introduced in Lok Sabha on 1 April, know what is the intention of Modi government about passing it?

New Delhi. The Modi government can present the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha on 1 April. The current session of Parliament is till 4 April. In such a situation, there are only 4 days left for the functioning of Parliament. It is believed that the government’s effort will be that the Waqf Amendment Bill should be passed from the Lok Sabha. After this, it will also be passed by Rajya Sabha in the monsoon session of Parliament. According to media reports, the Modi government will discuss in detail in the Lok Sabha on the Waqf Amendment Bill. So that the country can know what is the opinion of every party’s Waqf Amendment Bill. Also, during the discussion, the government’s intention is that the atmosphere that the opposition has created regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill can also be demolished.

JDU President and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has not said anything on the Waqf Amendment Bill. Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP President Chandrababu Naidu has said in the iftar party in the past that his government is committed to protect Waqf properties. According to the news of Hindi newspaper Dainik Jagran, the government has support from its allies JDU, TDP and Chirag Paswan from LJP-R. MPs of these parties were also in JPC on the Waqf Amendment Bill. In such a situation, the government is confident that there is no shortage of numbers. Let us know that the current Modi government is mainly running with the support of JDU and TDP. Because BJP does not have a majority number.

The opposition parties are in the hope that Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu oppose the amendment bill, if the BJP does not have a majority itself, it will not be able to pass. This is expected by All India Muslim Personal Law Board i.e. AIMPLB and other Muslim organizations. Muslim organizations and opposition parties have originally raised two objections regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. First, why is non -Muslim members being arranged in Waqf boards? Secondly, the government wants to capture Waqf properties by passing this Waqf Amendment Bill. However, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that Muslims do not need to be apprehensive. They have also said that the government does not want to capture Waqf’s properties.
