In this regard, a notice has also been sent to some farmers of the village, after which a dispute has started there. According to the farmers of the village, the land on which the Waqf Board is claiming is their ancestral land. Years ago his grandfather, great grandfather and now he himself is farming on that land. At the same time, while supporting the farmers in this matter, BJP has made serious allegations against Congress. BJP MP Tejashwi Surya said that the country will be run according to the Constitution and law, not according to the instructions of Sharia.
Surya accused the Congress government of Karnataka that such efforts are being made to hinder the reforms brought by the Modi government through the Waqf Amendment Bill, 2024. On the other hand, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala, while reacting on this issue, said that now the Congress party wants to snatch all the lands of the farmers and give it to a particular vote bank of its own. Congress is doing this in the name of vote bank politics.
