Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, wife of actor Saif Ali Khan, has told the police that the attacker who entered her house in Mumbai became aggressive during the scuffle but did not even touch the jewelery kept there. An official gave this information on Saturday.
The officer said police have recorded Kareena’s statement in connection with the incident that took place at the Khan couple’s Bandra apartment in the early hours of Thursday.
An attacker entered the apartment of Khan (54) located on the 12th floor of Satguru Sharan Building and attacked him. The attacker had stabbed the actor at several places including his neck. Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery.
The officer said that Kareena said in her statement that during the scuffle with Saif, the attacker had become very aggressive and stabbed Saif with a knife several times. However, he did not even touch the jewelery kept in the open.
He said that the police have not yet recorded Khan’s statement.
The officer said that after the incident, Kareena’s sister and actress Karisma Kapoor took her to her home in Khar.
Police have formed more than 30 teams to gather information about the attacker. The attacker is still absconding 48 hours after the incident.
