Priyanka Gandhi filed nomination
Wayanad: Priyanka Gandhi has filed nomination at Kalpetta Collectorate in Wayanad. Its video has also surfaced. It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad seat but later he left this seat. That is why by-election is being held on this seat.
Election innings begins
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has started her election innings by filing nomination from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday. He said that he has 35 years of experience in politics. She first joined the election campaign in 1989 with her father Rajiv Gandhi at the age of 17.
He also addressed a huge gathering in Kalpetta before filing nomination. She said she joined the election campaign with her father Rajiv Gandhi in 1989, and in the 35 years since then, she has campaigned for her mother Sonia Gandhi, her brother Rahul Gandhi and other party colleagues.
Priyanka faces competition from BJP’s Navya Haridas
Priyanka Gandhi is contesting elections from Wayanad, hence BJP has fielded Navya Haridas to contest her. The candidate of left alliance LDF is Satyan Mokeri. Let us tell you that in this Lok Sabha election, Rahul Gandhi was elected from Wayanad as well as Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. Later he decided to leave the Wayanad seat. For this reason by-elections are being held here.
Who is Navya Haridas?
Navya Haridas, 39, has been a councilor in the Kozhikode Municipal Corporation twice and is the leader of the BJP parliamentary party in the corporation. She is also the state general secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha. He holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from KMCT Engineering College, affiliated to the University of Calicut. She was the BJP candidate from Kozhikode South constituency in the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, but lost to Congress candidate Ahmed Devarkovil. Navya Haridas is popular among the youth, so Priyanka Gandhi’s path in Wayanad will not be easy. Rather, Haridas can prove to be a challenge for them.
