A top Indian Air Force official said that whatever methods and means the Indian armed forces elected during the ‘Operation Sindoor’, they had “desired effects” on enemy’s bases and the purpose of “destroying terrorist camps” was fulfilled.
Indian Air Force Military Campaign Director General Air Marshal A.K. Of. Bharti said at a press conference here on Sunday that Indian armed forces responded in a “quick and restrained” manner after the Indian military establishments and civilians were targeted after the attack on nine terrorist camps on May 7.
Military officials said that under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Indian Army made Markaj Taiba of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke, Markaj Subhan Allah of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur, Hizbul Mujahideen’s ‘Mahmuna Zoya Facility’ in Sialkot and Markaj Ahle Hadis in Markaj Ahle Hadis and Markaj Ahlela in Barnala. He targeted his camp in Nala.
He said, “We should choose the target carefully.”
Air Marshal Bharti said that aerial infiltration was done by drones and other air means sent by Pakistan but “Our strong A.D. (Air defense) stance ” stopped him on a large scale.
He said, “On May 7, we were attacked by UAV (unmanned vehicle) and a herd of small drones and these attacks were carried out at our military establishments, in our civilian areas. All of them were successfully stopped in the middle, only a few of them reached down, they caused a lot of damage. ”
He said that since he targeted military establishments and civilians, “We had to answer.”
Air Marshal Bharti said, “Our response was quick and well -planned, we attacked their radar installations in Lahore and near Gujranwala …
The ‘Operation Sindoor’ was launched on the morning of May 7 to destroy nine terrorist structures in Pakistan and its occupied Kashmir under the retaliation of the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam. All the retaliation after the Pakistani attacks was done under this ‘Operation’.
Air Marshal Bharti said that Pakistan has done “insensitive” by allowing the operation of civilian aircraft during these actions.
He said, “We had to be very careful to ensure that no civilian aircraft did no harm, even if we have to suffer some strategic losses for this.”
When asked about the news of the loss of Indian fighter jets in foreign media, Air Marshal Bharti said, “We are in a state of war and loss is part of the war.”
He said, “I can just say that we have achieved our goals and all our pilots are back home.”
The Director General of ‘Air Operations’ said, “Whatever methods and means we have chosen, they have had the desired effect on the enemy’s bases.”
He said, “Our aim was not to cause people to be casualties, but if there are any casualties, then it is their job to count it. Our job is to penetrate the goal, not counting dead bodies. ”
The Air Force official said that his response was focused only on military installations to avoid civilian and other losses.
The official said, “Have we fulfilled our objective of destroying terrorist camps, the answer is ‘yes’ and can see its results.”
He said, “We have the ability to target each system located in these locations and all other places. However, it was only to explain to our opponent to explain that he would avoid stress and increase.
