Earlier last year, the Meteorological Department had estimated that due to the influence of La Nina, it could be quite cold till the second week of March. Under the influence of La Nina, the sea surface temperature is higher than the ground. Due to this, more than average rainfall was also recorded in the monsoon season in 2024.
