New Delhi. Western disturbance is active. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has issued warnings of snowfall and rain in many states. Due to cyclonic transmission, there is a possibility of rain in the states of Northeast including Assam except Arunachal Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall and rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to western disturbances. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a lot of snow in the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, the temperature of the valley and Jammu is expected to fall. In Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, a similar weather is being said to continue till next Friday.
Apart from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued Yellow and Orange Alerts due to the possibility of snowfall in Kangra, Mandi, Chamba, Kullu, Sirmaur, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in all areas of Uttarakhand with snow and thunderstorms. Rainfall has been estimated due to western disturbances in the country’s capital Delhi and surrounding areas. Whereas, in Punjab and Haryana, there can be hailstorm in many places along with rain. Apart from the areas of UP adjoining Delhi, there is a possibility of rain in other western parts of the state and Bahraich, Sitapur, Balrampur, Farrukhabad and Shravasti. In Rajasthan too, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain from western disturbance in some places including the capital Jaipur.
On one hand, snowfall and rain in the country are expected to increase cold in many states. At the same time, the temperature is continuously increasing in Mumbai and surrounding areas, the capital of Maharashtra. In Mumbai and these areas, temperature is expected to go up to 35 degrees. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has asked the people living in all these places to avoid the sun when they get out. The temperature has been increasing in the south states for the last several days. The Meteorological Department had earlier said that in North India too, the effect of scorching heat is going to be seen in the last week of February or the first week of March.
