New Delhi. In its order to cancel the appointment of more than 25000 teachers and other educational staff in West Bengal, the Supreme Court has relaxed something. In view of the future of students, the Supreme Court has allowed teachers from 9th to 12th to stay on jobs for some time. In the middle session, the Supreme Court was urged by the state government to ensure that the students were not lost due to the removal of teachers in the session, on which the apex court gave a concession. However, the court clearly refused to give any relief to Group C and D employees.
A bench headed by Chief Justice of the apex court Justice Sanjeev Khanna has directed the Trinamool Congress government of West Bengal to take out advertisements for new recruitment of teachers and other employees by May 31. Also, the bench also said that the work of new appointments should be completed by 31 December. The CJI warned that if this order was disregarded, then it would be strictly seen. Explain that in the decision given on April 3 this month, the Supreme Court canceled the appointment of more than 25 thousand teachers and other employees of West Bengal.
The court had said that there was corruption in appointments. At the same time, since the order of the Supreme Court, teachers and other employees whose jobs have gone in West Bengal are continuously demonstrating. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met teachers following the Supreme Court order. He had consoled the teachers and other employees who lost the job and said that I have to pay any price with you.
