Meteorologists say that this pattern can be more dangerous this year and the states affected by this pattern include-Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bengal and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

AK Sen, former director of Meteorological Department Kolkata and expert at Kaal Baisakhi, has said that during Kaal Baisakhi, the wind direction is from south-west to north-east. Therefore it is also called Western Jhanjha. This pattern of weather causes heavy rains with thunderstorms, storms and hailstorms. During this time the air runs at a speed of about 70 to 80 kmph. There is also a thunderstorm at some places, in which people lose their lives.
Sen reported that, “The wind speed sometimes exceeds hundred kilometers per hour. Its most damage is seen in North Bihar and Bengal. A day ago, 20 districts of Bihar have been hit by it. In some districts, the wind speed has crossed 140 km per hour for some time.”
IMD has warned
The IMD has said that in the months of April, May and June, the period of heat may remain more in the area affected by Kaal Baisakhi. In such a situation, there will be a possibility of collision of maximum temperature and minimum temperature, which will prepare a platform for Kaal Baisakhi to be intense.

Take care to avoid Kaal Baisakhi and stay in safe places. If it is not very important, do not get out of the house in bad weather. Do not leave the house at the time of thunderstorms, storms, strong winds and rain, avoid going to the open space and fields.
