New Delhi: Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is on a tour of India these days and during this time he also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Cooperation in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), healthcare and agriculture as well as digital infrastructure was discussed. Although both met on Monday, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a post on X today regarding this multicate. Let us know that Bill Gates met Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Wednesday and reviewed the cooperation between the government and ‘Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’ in the healthcare sector. Gates also discussed with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu regarding AI and forecast analysis to improve service distribution in areas of healthcare, education, agriculture and employment generation.
Nadda highlighted the progress made by India in areas such as maternal health, vaccination and hygiene in collaboration with Gates Foundation in a post on ‘X’. He said, “We are ready to renew our cooperation memorandum and to pursue our shared commitment to ensure affordable, accessible and quality healthcare for all citizens.”
Bill Gates also met Chandrababu Naidu
After his meeting with Gates, Naidu appreciated the role of Gates Foundation in realizing the state’s long -term development target ‘Golden Andhra Pradesh 2047’ in a post on ‘X’. Naidu said, “We believe that this partnership with Gates Foundation will play an important role in empowering our people and achieving this goal.”
Gates also visited the Parliament complex on Wednesday where the budget session is currently going on. Gates met Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Monday. In a statement after the meeting, Chauhan had said, “The Bill Foundation is already working with the Government of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and today we discussed in which areas we can work together.”
