promise of action
Further, on the Tirupati Prasadam controversy, he said, “After thoroughly investigating the report, appropriate action will be taken keeping in mind all aspects, action will be taken as per the law and whatever comes under the purview of our FSSAI.”
Chandrababu Naidu had revealed
Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu said in this case that Tirupati Balaji’s laddu was also adulterated. I am surprised that repeated complaints were made but no attention was paid to it. This has damaged Balaji’s reputation. His (Jaganmohan government) action was very unfortunate, food standards were also lax in other prasads. The quality of the material used in making prasad for God was compromised. It is sad to tell that animal fat was used instead of ghee in the prasad.
He further said that now we have started working on the quality of Prasad. Pure ghee is being used to make Prasad. It is our good fortune that Lord Balaji is in our state. People from all over the world come here, so we have to take full care of the sanctity of Tirupati ji.
What came out in the lab report?
The laddu sample was tested in the lab of National Dairy Development Board of Gujarat. The test found that the ghee used to make the prasadam laddus contained animal fat. The test further clarified that traces of fish oil and beef fat were found in the laddus. Some amount of lard was also found in it. The lab report further clearly stated that animal fat was used instead of pure ghee to make the prasadam laddus.
