Indore: In Guna district of Madhya Pradesh, an FIR was registered against Aditya Singh, nephew of senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, on charges of obstructing government work. When Congress Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh was asked about this on Saturday, he refrained from giving any statement and said that this FIR has been lodged regarding a ‘very small incident’. Police said that a case was registered on Friday against Digvijay’s nephew Aditya Singh and the driver of his car in Raghogarh of Guna district on charges of obstructing government work. Raghogarh is the hometown of Digvijay Singh.
‘There was a small dispute with the policemen’
Let us tell you that the alleged video of the Raghogarh incident has gone viral on social media, in which it can be seen that Aditya Singh is arguing with a female police officer and other government employees. During this, Aditya is also seen smoking a cigarette. Regarding the FIR lodged against his nephew, Digvijay Singh said in Indore, ‘I have inquired about this matter. This has been a very minor incident. He was going somewhere. The administration had organized a street play on the road, about which it was not aware. He had a minor altercation with the policemen there.
‘Police will do their work, we will see the rest’
Digvijay Singh said, ‘Police will do their work. We have nothing to say about this. Whatever else happens, we will see. He raised questions about the functioning of the BJP government in the state after the recent seizure of 907.09 kg of Mephedrone worth Rs 1,814 crore from a factory in Bhopal. Referring to some recent incidents, he also pointed towards the ‘internal strife’ of BJP. On a question, the Congress leader said, ‘The tradition of worshiping weapons is prevalent in Kshatriya families. But now I always tell the Kshatriyas that the biggest weapon today is not the sword but the pen, so worship the pen. (Language)
