Three great men hanged
He was then arrested by the police and also prosecuted him. Bhagat Singh and his colleagues took an opportunity to reveal their words in court and expressed their strong views against British rule. His martyrdom gave a new direction to India’s freedom struggle. The hanging of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru brought a new revolutionary spirit in the hearts of the youth. His sacrifice taught the Indian public that surrender and sacrifice are mandatory for independence. Finally, due to the struggle of sacrifice and independence of the three great men, India became free from the British rule in 1947.
