New Delhi. When will the Indian Army start LAC patrolling at Depsang and Demchok in eastern Ladakh? This question is being asked for the last few days. The agreement for patrolling on LAC in Depsang and Demchok between India and China was signed on October 21. After this, it was said that by the end of October, the Indian and Chinese troops deployed on the LAC at Depsang and Demchok will be withdrawn and then Indian soldiers will patrol at both the places. This patrolling did not start till Wednesday. Now the latest news has come that when can the Indian Army start patrolling in Depsang and Demchok.
According to the information, China and India have removed all their temporary constructions in Depsang and Demchok. India and China are going to confirm the removal of construction by conducting aerial survey of both the places. This aerial survey can be done today. After this, from November 1 or 2, soldiers of India and China will patrol their respective areas in Depsang and Demchok. It is not yet decided whether this patrolling on the LAC of both the countries will be done jointly or not. After the start of this patrolling, India and China will start talks about withdrawing troops from 5 other places on LAC and patrolling there also.
The Chinese army tried to intrude in Galwan in eastern Ladakh on the night of 15 June 2020. Then he had a conflict with the Indian Army. More than 40 Chinese soldiers were killed in this. Whereas, India’s Colonel B. 20 soldiers including Santosh Babu were martyred. Since then there was tremendous tension between India and China. Both had deployed troops and weapons on a large scale in front of each other. A meeting of diplomatic and military commanders was going on between India and China to reduce tension on LAC. As a result of which the issue of Depsang and Demchok has been resolved. The Chinese army had already intruded in Depsang and Demchok before 2020. Now patrolling and army withdrawal is to be done in only 5 areas. It is believed that this work can also be completed in the next few months.
