Women’s Day is being celebrated all over the world today. On March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, PM Modi also congratulated ‘Nari Shakti’ on International Women’s Day. During this, PM Modi reiterated his government’s commitment to empower women through various schemes and programs. PM Modi also reiterated that women who have achieved achievements in different areas will handle their social media account for a day. In this sequence, PM Modi has given nuclear scientist Elina Mishra and space scientist Shilpi Soni to handle their social media accounts.
Who is Elina Mishra and Shilpi Soni
From PM Modi’s X Account, both women scientists have conveyed the message of “space technology, nuclear technology and women empowerment”. She wrote in a post, “We are Elina Mishra (nuclear scientist) and Shilpi Soni (Space Scientist). We are thrilled to lead the Prime Minister’s social media accounts on Women’s Day. Our message- India is the most vibrant place for science and hence we call more women to adopt it.”

He further wrote, “Both of us, Elina and Shilpi are looking at a broader series of opportunities in their respective areas. It was unimaginable that the field like nuclear technology will provide so many opportunities for women in India. Similarly, the growing partnership of women and private sector in space world makes India the most attractive place for innovation and development!
