Who benefited the most from Mahakumbh, UP government gave this answer

The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday defended its stance in the Mahakumbh, while questioning the claims of a sailor’s earnings of Rs 30 crore, said that the sailors are one of the “biggest beneficiaries” of this religious event.

In a statement issued in the media, the Uttar Pradesh government highlighted how Mahakumbh in Prayagraj provided significant financial relief to many people at the lowest rank in society.

“More than 1.5 crore devotees took a dip in Triveni using boats,” said in a statement quoting Pappu Lal Nishad, president of Prayagraj Sailor Association, Pappu Lal Nishad.

The statement stated in detail that more than 4,500 boats were operated round the clock during Mahakumbh, each of which required at least three sailors. The statement said that as a result, more than 13,000 sailors earned eight to nine lakh rupees. Encouraged by this earnings, many people are now thinking of starting new businesses.

One of the sailors, Sanjeet Kumar Nishad, told how he had to struggle a lot to earn money for the marriage of his two daughters, but due to the earnings from Mahakumbh, he managed to fulfill his dream.

The statement said that similarly, Balwant Nishad is now planning to build a house and buy a new boat with the earnings from Mahakumbh.

The Yogi Adityanath government’s decision was also praised for providing skill training to service providers during Kumbh.

Earlier, on Thursday, opposition parties questioned the claim of sailor Pintu Mahara’s earnings of Rs 30 crore during the Mahakumbh and also alleged that the sailor had a criminal history.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav posted on the social media forum ‘X’ and said, “The truth of this news should be investigated. If a family has really earned 30 crores alone in Mahakumbh, then tell how much GST was received. Find out ‘Patalkhoji’ first and then glorify. ”

The former Chief Minister said, “The first thugs have ‘MoU’, now praised the name of the name with a closed eye in the House. Now open your eyes. For all these reasons, criminals are strong in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.

Yadav also shared a news alleging that Mahara had a criminal history.
