Rohtak. Haryana assembly elections are going to be held on October 5. Just before this, Congress has suffered a major setback. Jai Tirath Dahiya, the current Congress MLA from Haryana’s Rai seat, has left the party. Jai Tirath Dahiya has accused the Congress of rigging and taking money in distributing tickets for the Haryana assembly elections. Jai Tirath Dahiya is the son of former Haryana minister Chaudhary Rizq Ram Dahiya. He was elected MLA from Rai seat on a Congress ticket in 2014 and 2019. This time Congress did not field Jai Tirath Dahiya from the Rai seat and gave the ticket to Jai Bhagwan Antil.
BJP has fielded Krishna Gehlawat from Rai seat. Here, Jai Tirath Dahiya’s leaving the party by accusing Congress can also cause a setback to the party in the elections. The special thing is that Jai Tirath Dahiya is also considered close to former CM and Congress’s strong leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Jai Tirath Dahiya himself has said that it was because of Bhupendra Singh Hooda that he was elected MLA from Rai assembly seat. Jai Tirath Dahiya worked as a lawyer in Sonipat for 30 years. Jai Tirath Dahiya alleges that he had a strong claim on the Rai seat of Haryana and Congress insulted him by not giving the ticket. Jai Tirath Dahiya said that he left Congress because of the insult.
Earlier, BJP had claimed that Congress MP Kumari Shailja is also angry. Actually, some supporters of Bhupendra Singh Hooda had used abusive language against Shailja. This has been made an issue of insulting Dalits. Former CM Manohar Lal Khattar from BJP had even offered Kumari Shailja to join his party. However, Shailja issued a statement saying that she will never leave the Congress party whose flag her father was wrapped in.
