New Delhi. A case will be run against Tahwwur Rana in the NIA court of Delhi, one of the masterminds of the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai. The central government has appointed senior advocate Narendra Mann as Special Prosecutor to fight the NIA case against Tahwwur Rana. Narendra Mann has been appointed for 3 years. Narendra Mann has previously been a special prosecutor in many cases by the CBI. A case was registered against Tahwwur Rana in Mumbai. Which NIA has transferred Delhi. Tehwavur Rana has also had to fight a long legal battle in extradite from America to India.

On 26 November 2008 in Mumbai, 10 terrorists of Pakistan terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba came to the sea and carried out a fierce attack. After much effort, 9 terrorists were killed by the security forces and the Mumbai Police. Whereas, the terrorist Kasab was caught alive. Kasab was later hanged. In this case, it was revealed that Tawwur Rana had sent Lashkar operative David Coleman Headley to Mumbai. After which Tehwavur Rana was arrested and questioned in America. After getting information about Tahwwur Rana, India started an attempt to extradite him. At the same time, Tawwur Rana also filed petitions in the US courts to avoid extradition of India. Which were rejected by all the courts.
Kasab was also among the 10 Lashkar terrorists who attacked Mumbai. He could be caught alive.
The 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai killed 166 people, including 6 US citizens. Lashkar militants from Pakistan fired tremendous firing at the Jewish house and Taj Hotel and Leopold Cafe, besides Chhatrapati Shivaji railway terminus. More than 300 people were also injured in a terrorist attack in Mumbai. In this terrorist attack, 26 employees of the security forces, including police officers, also achieved heroism while fighting the terrorists.
