Was recognized as a supporter of Sachin Pilot in Congress
Naresh Meena is an independent candidate contesting from Deoli-Uniara assembly seat of Tonk district. Earlier he was in Congress but due to not getting ticket in the by-election, he became a rebel. Naresh filed the independent nomination, although the Congress tried to convince him but he ignored the party’s point of view, after which he was expelled from the Congress. Naresh Meena has been recognized as a staunch supporter of Sachin Pilot in Rajasthan Congress, however, due to his intention to contest elections, his name has now been included in the list of party rebels.
There is also a special connection with Kironi Lal Meena.
Naresh Meena started his political career from student union elections. Naresh had won the election of General Secretary in Rajasthan University Students Union. Then he met BJP leader Kironi Lal Meena. It is said that the king was so impressed by Kironi Lal Meena that he accepted him as his political guru. Naresh was seen with Kironi Lal in many movements of that period. Once during a rally in 2017, Naresh had cut the thumb of his hand with a knife and applied Tilak of Kironi Lal Meena with blood. However, Naresh later joined Congress.
