Sharda Sinha was born on 1 October 1952 in Samastipur, Bihar. He took training in classical music since childhood and made many fans in the country and abroad with the songs sung in his melodious voice. Sharda Sinha has sung songs in both Bhojpuri and Maithili languages. In 1980, he sang songs in Doordarshan and All India Radio and introduced his talent to the people of all the states including Bihar. Her folk songs are so famous that Chhath festival is considered incomplete without the songs of Sharda Sinha.
