Dehradun. Uttarakhand Police has so far arrested 300 people including a Bangladeshi under Operation Kalnemi. The police have so far verified more than 4000 people by running Operation Kalnami in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand Police has run Operation Kalnemi against those who cheat and insult religious sentiments by taking the guise of Sanatan culture. According to newspaper Dainik Jagran, under Operation Kalnemi, the police have arrested 162 people in the religious Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. 2300 people have been verified here.

It is told in the Ramayana that when Hanuman ji was going to take Sanjeevani for Laxman ji, Ravana sent a demon named Kalnemi to stop him on the way. There is a legend in the Ramayana that Kalnemi tried to stop the form of a monk and when Hanuman ji reached there, he tried to stop them from excuses to sunrise. So that Laxman ji’s life comes out on sunrise. Hanuman ji recognized the demon and killed Kalnemi. After which he went to the Gandhamadan mountain with Sanjeevani Booti plants overnight and brought it up. Due to which Laxman ji’s life was left.
