New Delhi: Election results of Jharkhand and Maharashtra have been declared on many seats while counting of votes is nearing completion on some seats. Apart from this, results have also been declared for 46 seats in 15 states. Some of these seats also include religious places. Like- Deoghar of Jharkhand, Mumba Devi of Maharashtra, Kedarnath seat of Uttarakhand. In this article we will tell you which party and which candidate has won the seats having religious places.
BJP wins in Kedarnath by-election
First of all, let us give you information about the results of the by-election held on Kedarnath seat of Uttarakhand. BJP has won the Kedarnath seat. There is BJP government in the state. In such a situation, the people here preferred to go with BJP. BJP’s Asha Nautiyal defeated Congress candidate Manoj Rawat by 5622 votes. Independent Tribhuvan Singh was at third position who got 9311 votes. Tribhuvan contested elections for the first time. Earlier, BJP had lost the Badrinath by-election. Therefore this seat had become a question of prestige for BJP.
Who won the Deoghar seat?
Deoghar district of Jharkhand is called the land of Lord Shankar. This is the most sacred place of Hindus. Deoghar is also known as Baidyanath Dham and Baba Dham. It is also called Devgarh. It is one of the twelve Shiva Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. India alliance has won the Deoghar assembly seat. RJD candidate Suresh Paswan defeated BJP by 39721 votes. From Deoghar, BJP candidate Narayan Das got a total of 116358 votes while R.Lady got 156079 votes. Independent was at third place and BSP was at fourth place.
Congress ahead on Mumba Devi assembly seat
Mumba Devi Temple located in Bhuleshwar, Mumbai is a major pilgrimage place for Hindus. Congress’s Amin Patel has won the Mumba Devi assembly seat. Congress candidate Amin Patel defeated Shiv Sena candidate Shaina NC by 34844 votes. Shaina NC has been a strong leader of BJP. In the seat sharing, Mumba Devi seat went to Eknath Shinde. She joined Shiv Sena at the last moment before the elections and also got the ticket.
