Tirupati Balaji’s Prasad
There has been a lot of uproar in Andhra Pradesh after the case of making laddus by mixing animal fat in Tirupati Balaji came to light. The sample tested in the lab of National Dairy Development Board found that the ghee used to make laddus for Prasadam contained animal fat. Fish oil and traces of cow fat were found in the laddus. Some amount of lard was also found in it. It is clearly written in the lab report that animal fat was used instead of pure ghee to make prasadam laddus. Political parties are busy throwing mud at each other on this issue.
Ghee has not been taken from the supplier for 50 years
Meanwhile, India TV’s team reached to know who makes these laddus and how? According to the information received, Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam Trust makes 3.50 lakh laddus every day. About 200 Brahmins make these laddus together. For this, before July 2023, Karnataka Cooperative Milk Federation used to supply ghee to Tirupati temple. This company was supplying ghee for about 50 years.
Contract was given to 5 companies
At the same time, when Karnataka Cooperative Milk Federation was talked to about the contract of ghee supply, it was found that the government was paying them very less money. After this, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government gave the contract of ghee supply to 5 companies in July 2023. After which laddus were being made from the ghee of these companies. Now animal fat has been found in it, due to which BJP is also attacking former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and is accusing Jagan Mohan Reddy of playing with the faith of Hindus. However, no such revelations came to light before this.
BJP said attack
BJP MLA T Raja Singh said that when Jaganmohan Reddy was in power, a conspiracy was hatched to desecrate our religion and today it is coming to light. After Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP government was formed, an attempt was made to expose that conspiracy. During Jaganmohan Reddy’s government, beef oil, that is, oil from cow and buffalo fat, was being extracted and mixed in the laddu.
Naidu made serious allegations
Regarding the Laddu Prasadam of Tirupati temple, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday alleged that the previous YSRCP government used substandard material and animal fat in making the sacred sweet Tirupati Laddu. However, Jagan Mohan’s party YSRCP is calling it a political conspiracy.
