On Wednesday, when the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore players were having a reception at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, there was a stampede. 11 people lost their lives in the stampede and injured more than 30. Some people climbed on top of the gate and tried to go inside. When there was a stampede, many people fell on each other. Whereas, some people got hurt while furring the barrier. The Chinnaswamy Stadium has a capacity of 35000 people, but 2 to 3 lakh people gathered on the spot. According to the CM of Karnataka, the Cricket Association felt that there is a reception, so a few more people would come to the Chinnaswamy Stadium. According to him, no one had an idea that such a crowd would gather. According to Siddaramaiah, police from the entire Bangalore were deployed on the spot. A lawyer and president of the Aam Aadmi Party Youth Branch has complained to the police against the Karnataka State Cricket Association and CEO of Chinnaswamy Stadium.
