Crowd at New Delhi railway station
New Delhi: RPF has prepared a report regarding the accident at New Delhi railway station. According to the report, after leaving the platform number 12 of Shivganga Express at 8 pm, a lot of crowds of passengers started gathering on the platform. The routes leading to platform number 12, 13, 14, 15,16 were completely jammed. The RPF Inspector advised the station director to run the special train early.

Due to the crowd, the RPF Inspector asked the railway team of 1500 tickets for Prayagraj to stop selling tickets immediately. At 8:45 pm, there was an announcement that Kumbh Special Special Train for Prayagraj will go from platform number 12 but after that again it was announced at the station that Kumbh Special Train will go from platform number 16, after which passengers created a stampede situation. Hearing the announcement, the passengers of Prayagraj Special from platforms 12- 13 and 14-15 ran to climb the footover bridge 2 and 3 of Prayagraj Special, while the passengers of the second train were descending from the stairs, which caused a shock and stampede. The accident took place at 8.48 pm.
18 people died in stampede
Let us know that after the death of 18 people in the stampede on Saturday night, the officials have made several significant changes at the New Delhi railway station and have implemented strict security measures to prevent such incidents in future. According to an official, walking on the foot overbridge without any valid reason is tightened. Security personnel have been deployed to implement this rule and ensure smooth movement of passengers. Apart from this, trains going to Prayagraj are being monitored strictly. Teams are keeping a close watch on the number of passengers on the platform to avoid congestion. 30 people have also been injured in the stampede.
