Giriraj Singh
New Delhi: This time the guest on India TV’s popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ was Union Minister Giriraj Singh. Giriraj Singh openly expressed his views on Jammu and Kashmir and Article 370. It is noteworthy that Parliament abrogated Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
370 will not come again: Giriraj
With the National Conference returning to power after the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister Giriraj Singh has ruled out the possibility of restoring Article 370 in the Constitution. Giriraj Singh is known for his strict Hindutva stance.
He said, ‘Even if Rahul Gandhi and Farooq Abdullah shout and offer morning namaz, 370 is not going to come again.’ Giriraj Singh said, ‘Modi ji left no stone unturned for the development of Kashmir, but why did the Muslims of the valley not vote for BJP?’
Should I tear my heart and show myself like Hanuman ji: Giriraj
Rajat Sharma told Giriraj that for votes you will have to win their (Muslims of the valley) hearts. On this Giriraj said, ‘Please tell me how to win hearts. Should I tear out the heart and make it look like Hanuman? I haven’t even abused anyone in my constituency, yet we will say no if we don’t vote. Even if we perform aarti for them (Muslim voters), they still do not vote for me.
The Union Minister said, ‘The situation in Kashmir was dominated by stone pelters and terrorists. People were afraid to go to Kashmir. After removal of Article 370 by PM Modi, today people go to Lal Chowk to get beaten. They are going only because of PM Modi. PM Modi’s policies brought peace and development in Kashmir. Many hotels opened today. Many MOUs were signed. Villages developed. We were hopeful that (will get votes). Congress, Farooq Abdullah Mufti’s people were encouraging stone pelters, PM Modi ended that. I hoped that the people of the valley, the Muslim people would also vote. Now they have to think.
He said in ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, ‘I do not say that all Muslims are terrorists, but the question arises why only 99 percent of those caught in terrorism are Muslims.’
