Former Army Commander take. General RP Kalita
Guwahati: Can China’s entry be between India and Pakistan amidst the ongoing tension? Can China come forward to help Pakistan? A former commander of the Indian Army has said that due to the “complications” of the current geopolitical landscape and tariff (tariff), there is no possibility of China directly involved in “instability” between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. However, he said that China’s friendship with Pakistan is well known.
There was a lot of discussion with China after Galwan
Former Chief of Eastern Command, Lieutenant General (Retd) Rana Pratap Kalita said, “After the Galwan 2020 incident, there was a lot of discussion between the two countries and the deadlock at the last point of the confrontation has been resolved.” He said that the ‘generalization process’ has begun after the solution in the final areas of conflict and bilateral mechanisms have accelerated, including talks to start direct flights and resume Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Kalita also said that both countries are facing increased trade fee levied by the US, which is also affecting the global economy. He said that India and China are manufacturing countries as well as major consumption markets, so the effect of change in fees will be felt more.
Hard to guess
The former military commander said, “In view of these complications and geopolitical developments, China’s direct response to the instability arising from the Pahalgam incident is difficult to estimate at the moment. But at the moment I don’t think they will join it directly.” Kalita said, “The sensitivity of maritime contact with Pakistan is well known. The importance of reaching the Arabian Sea through Pakistan for China is also well known. ”
Regarding sensitivity on the Bangladesh border, he said that it still remains and “It has increased even more after changing the government in Bangladesh”. He said, “After the fall of Sheikh Hasina government, we have noticed that anti -India spirit is increasing in Bangladesh, which is being promoted by religious fundamentalists.” Former military commander said that after the acting government in Bangladesh came to power, the release of major persons like Ansar -ul -Bangla has also been involved in the prison of terrorist groups like Ansar -ul -Bangla.
Terrorist camps start in Bangladesh a matter of concern
He said that the visit of senior Pakistani military officers, including the Director General of ISI, further enhances this sensitivity. He said that migration from Bangladesh and ‘infiltration to spread Islamic fundamentalism in the Northeast’-it is all due to the current sensitivity that is present in the population pattern, especially in states such as Assam and Tripura, where population is balanced and sensitive and all are worrying issues. Kalita said that the narrow Siliguri corridor is also a sensitive area for India, as it provides strategic contact to the Northeast. He said that the potentially resumption of terrorist camps in Bangladesh is another aspect of concern, as there are bases of ULFA and other organizations. However, Kalita said that the Indian armed forces are ready to face any situation. (input language)
